What fits when the whole family travels together
All four vehicles here are full-size, body-on-frame SUVs measuring more than 5.3 metres. Three of them, the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Ford Expedition and the GMC Yukon, seat six pilgrims and take four large cases. The GMC Yukon XL seats seven and takes six. The driver is never one of the seats in that count.
Why the brochure seat count is not your group size
The factory fits a Tahoe with as many as nine seatbelts and quotes 122.7 cubic feet of luggage room, but a pilgrim group cannot have both at once: the quoted volume only exists after the rear rows are folded away, and a folded row is a seat nobody is sitting in. Chevrolet publishes 25.5 cubic feet behind the third row, and that is the space your cases actually have once the family is aboard. What we publish is the pairing that survives a full car.
Which of the four suits a Makkah and Madinah run
For a group of six with four cases the Tahoe, Expedition and Yukon make no practical difference to your journey. The choice starts to matter as soon as you need a fifth case: the Yukon XL is about fifteen inches longer, and its 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row is the reason it takes a seventh pilgrim and a sixth case at once.
Sized for an Umrah stay, not a weekend
Pilgrim luggage is heavier than holiday luggage and often includes Zamzam allowance on the return leg. If your group is six with full cases, book the Yukon XL rather than assuming a seventh seat can be found later.
