Children, luggage and comfort planned together

Family pilgrim transfers and child-seat requests

Search with every adult, child and infant, request suitable child seating, declare all luggage and let the booking team verify the available vehicle and equipment before confirmation.

Every child is a passenger

Children and infants count towards the passenger capacity even when an adult expects to hold them. Enter the correct totals so unsuitable cars are removed from the results.

A child seat is a request until confirmed

State the child’s age, approximate weight and the type or number of seats requested. Availability and legal suitability must be confirmed; do not assume a generic seat will fit every child.

Parents retain an active role

The accompanying adult should check that the confirmed restraint and installation appear suitable before departure and raise any concern immediately. Bring any medically or personally required specialist restraint unless agreed otherwise.

Pushchairs and family luggage use space

Declare pushchairs, travel cots, wheelchairs and large cases. A vehicle can have enough seats while lacking safe luggage space, especially on airport journeys.

Choose comfort for the whole road journey

For a long intercity transfer, the smallest technically eligible car may not be the best family choice. Compare luggage margin, boarding ease and journey length.

The next stage can be simple
