Fifty-three seats, plus a driver and a guide
Yutong builds the C13PRO in two seating plans, written as 49+1+1 and 53+1+1. The two single seats are the driver and the guide, and neither is sold to a pilgrim. We book the larger plan at fifty-three, which is every seat the coach has for your group and not one more. A group counted at fifty-five because someone read the total is a group that will not board.
Nine cubic metres, under the floor
Yutong publishes a nine cubic metre luggage compartment for this coach. That is the whole reason a large pilgrim group travels by coach rather than in three minibuses: the cases go in a hold below the saloon instead of competing with the back row. Our fifty-one large cases sits comfortably inside that published volume rather than at the edge of it, which is deliberate - a coach loaded to its theoretical maximum is a coach that runs late at every stop.
A 12.5-metre vehicle needs the right boarding point
Yutong lists the C13PRO at 12,500 mm long, 2,550 mm wide and 3,840 mm high. On the highways between Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah that is exactly the vehicle you want. In the streets around the Haram and in most hotel forecourts it is not, and the boarding point is worth agreeing when the group is booked rather than on the morning of departure.
When a coach is the right booking
Any pilgrim group above nineteen, and any group at all where every person has a checked case. Below that the Coaster minibus is usually the better vehicle for city work, because a 12.5-metre coach and a hotel forecourt near the Haram rarely agree. Give us the group size and the cases together and the search will place you correctly first time.
