For international pilgrims flying into King Abdulaziz International Airport, the most critical religious question is: “Where do I enter the state of Ihram?”
Because Jeddah is located inside the Miqat boundaries (in the area known as Al-Hil), you cannot land at Jeddah Airport and then intend for Umrah. You must be in the state of Ihram before your plane enters the Miqat zone.
